The View Tower and Pathibhara Mata Temple are located on a high hill in Hetauda-1, approximately 4 km west of Hetauda Bazaar, offering a cooler environment than the main bazaar and being easily accessible by small vehicles and motorcycles. Providing a panoramic view of Hetauda Bazaar, the Fisheries Development Center, Hatiya, Churiya Danda, Padampokhari, and far-off horizons, the Hetauda Municipality leased 4.5 hectares of land from a leasehold forest in 1993 (2050 V.S.) and completed the construction of the View Tower in the fiscal year 1994/1995 (051/052 V.S.), where initiatives are currently underway to install binoculars. Since the original shrine of Pathibhara Mata is located in the remote Himalayan region of eastern Nepal's Taplejung district, making it difficult for everyone to visit, this alternative temple was established on April 14, 2007 (1 Baisakh 2064 V.S.) through the joint efforts of the then Judge Gauri Bahadur Karki and local resident Shankar Shilwal. According to the priest Bharat Prasad Lamsal, special prayers are held here during the New Year, Ram Navami, Saturdays, Tuesdays, various festivals, and Navaratri (Nauratha), and a 51-foot-tall Trishul (trident) was contributed in front of the temple by the family of former Chief of Army Staff Rajendra Chhettri. Devotees firmly believe that worshiping the Goddess with a pure heart fulfills all wishes; the site features tea and food stalls.
